THE ARKANSAS RIFLE AND PISTOL ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS THIS AMENDMENT AND ENCOURAGES ITS MEMBERS TO GET OUT THE VOTE ON NOVEMBER 3, 2026 AND VOTE YES ON SJR 11 OR BETTER KNOWN AS ISSUE 2 ON THE BALLOT.
The Arkansas Right to Keep and Bear Arms Amendment SJR 11 is on the ballot for November 3, 2026 as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. This amendment is better known as ISSUE 2 and the Arkansas Rifle and Pistol Association is in favor of this amendment. While we currently have a solid Second Amendment Policy in Arkansas, this amendment will strengthen our future rights as gunowners, shooters, collectors, and hunters.
A "yes" vote supports this constitutional amendment to provide a right to possess and use ammunition, firearm accessories, and firearm components without limitation; and state that the right to keep and bear arms is "a natural, fundamental, and individual right that shall not be infringed."
A "no" vote opposes providing for a right to possess and use ammunition, firearm accessories, and firearm components without limitation, and opposes adding language stating that the right is a "natural, fundamental, and individual right that shall not be infringed."
Defeat would keep the existing constitutional provision in place, which states that “The citizens of this State shall have the right to keep and bear arms, for their common defense.
